Connolly Ranch preschool programs provide nature-based, tactile, interactive and experiential activities, promoting age-appropriate growth and development for young children in the Napa Valley.

However, to enroll in any of the Connolly Ranch Preschool Programs, payment must be made in advance through this Web site only via PayPal or credit card. Once payment has been confirmed, you can then complete the registration form and fax or mail it to Connolly Ranch. Registration forms received without prepayment will not be accepted. Please note that if for any reason you need to cancel a session for which you have paid, a cancellation fee of $25 will be applied to cover the credit card fees and administration time we have incurred. If you want to apply your payment to a future session, full credit will be given. |
Sounds of Silence

The Sounds of Silence parent/child program is a word-less exploration of nature. Participants should be willing to be in silence to allow for the rustle of the leaves, the braying of donkeys, the chirping of birds or the splashing of water to be the predominant auditory experience which is characteristic of this developmental stage. The silence rule is particularly for the "big people," children's sounds of exploration are (of course) welcome! Parent/guardian participation is required.

At Nature's Play we engage together in the great outdoors. The trees, gardens, trails and animals at Connolly Ranch provide an array of experiences allowing big and little people to play and learn together in nature. Classes will include music, creative movement, imaginative play, art and hands-on activities. Parent/guardian participation is required.
Earthlings Outdoor Playschool

Earthlings Outdoor Playschool is a year-round preschool opportunity where respect is our foundation, play our method and the natural world our medium. In our outdoor classroom called Mother Earth, we offer classic early childhood education in an alternative play-based format. Earthlings focus is to inspire children’s connection with the beautiful, wondrous and magical earth that we all share, emphasizing the importance of stewardship and care for our families, our communities and our planet. All Earthlings must be potty trained (no pull-ups). Please send children with labeled (child's name) water bottle and a non-sugary snack in reusable containers. For safe play, please dress Earthlings in closed shoes, long pants and a hat. Parents are asked to volunteer at least 1 day per session.
Fun Faerie Fridays

Fun Faerie Fridays will not be offered during the summer.
The Barn Faerie invites you and your children to come enjoy some informal playtime at Connolly Ranch. Fun Faerie Fridays are a combination of unstructured freeplay and guided learning, allowing that extra time children always seem to want out here. Let the animal pastures, our lush educational garden and the spacious bay laurel grove be the new ‘park’ on Friday mornings, where you can sip your coffee, connect with other parents and relax while the kids are happily playing with friends and family. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For safe play, please dress in closed shoes, long pants and a hat
