2019 Thanksgiving Break Camp - Announcement June 2019 Ages 3-15 One-Day Options Available! Fall brings cool mornings, bright orange pumpkins, campfires and so much more. Come play and learn with us during your fall break! We promise that you will have a dirty, tired child at the end of the day, who can’t wait to come back for more. Junior Farmers: 8:30am – 12:30pm (aftercare available if requested by 3 or more families) Ages 3-5 This camp is full of playful, educational and safe activities for 3, 4 and 5 year olds, designed to inspire a connection with and love of nature and the outdoors. During our time together, your children will feed and care for the farm animals, get creative with arts and crafts, experience the garden through digging, planting and harvesting seasonal flowers and vegetables, laugh and smile during story and music time and explore freely in the natural open playspace we call 'The Grove'. Life on the Farm: 8:30am – 3pm Ages 5-9 This camp is designed to immerse your child in the inner workings of a farm. We spend our days caring for farm animals, tending to the organic gardens, hiking in the oak woodlands and cooking fresh, healthy food (most of it from our own gardens). Along with all the work comes plenty of time to play and explore, create arts and crafts, build forts with friends or play and relax in the shade of the bay grove. Connolly Ranch Stewards: 8:30am – 3pm Ages 9-13 Join us for a behind the scenes perspective of Connolly Ranch and it's natural history. Work on conservation projects, build natural shelters, learn advanced farm chores, explore rarely used areas, hike in the hills, and discover the many lessons Connolly Ranch has to offer this age group. Counselors-in-Training: 8:30am – 3pm Ages 13-15 Participants in our CIT program learn to develop their natural good talents into leadership qualities, growing in areas of self-reflection, communication, role-modeling, teamwork and accountability. CITs earn both respect and responsibility while mentoring young campers, assisting staff and enjoying and contributing to this wonderful place. Tuition is half the cost of younger campers.
