THANKSGIVING BREAK CAMPS
Fall brings cool mornings, bright orange pumpkins, campfires and so much more. Come play and learn with us during your fall break!
Junior Farmers: 8:30am – 12:30pm (aftercare available if requested by 3 or more families)
This camp is full of playful, educational and safe activities for 3, 4 and 5 year olds, designed to inspire a connection with and love of nature and the outdoors. During our time together, your children will feed and care for the farm animals, get creative with arts and crafts, experience the garden through digging, planting and harvesting seasonal flowers and vegetables, laugh and smile during story and music time and explore freely in the natural open playspace we call ‘The Grove’.
Life on the Farm: 8:30am – 3pm
This camp is designed to immerse your child in the inner workings of a farm. Our mornings are spent caring for farm animals, tending to the organic gardens, playing in the Grove, hiking in the oak woodlands and cooking fresh, healthy food (most of it from our own gardens).
Daily chores like feeding the animals, milking the goats, gathering eggs from the chickens and mucking stalls are often kids’ favorite part of the day! Along with all the work comes plenty of time to play and explore, take a hike in Westwood Hills, create arts and crafts, build forts with friends or relax in the shade of the bay grove and work on nature-based projects. As the day comes to an end, we all join together in the Grove, to make music, share stories, and complete our day as a community.
We promise that you will have a dirty, tired child at the end of the day, who can’t wait to come back for more!
Connolly Ranch Stewards: 8:30am – 3pm
Join us for a behind the scenes perspective of Connolly Ranch and it’s natural history. Work on conservation projects, build natural shelters, learn advanced farm chores, explore rarely used areas, hike in the hills, and discover the many lessons Connolly Ranch has to offer this age group.
If you need to cancel a registration, a refund may be issued, minus a cancellation fee of 20% of the total cost of the program, provided cancellation takes place at least 7 days before the start date of the program enrolled in.
