Give Thanks to Nature
Instead of shopping the day after Thanksgiving, spend it in nature! Barn doors are open to those looking for a unique outdoor experience to enjoy with their family and friends. Please come prepared to be outdoors. Wear long sleeves and clothes that can get dirty, and bring gardening gloves if you have them.

Give back in the Garden and on the Farm
From 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, each family selects a hands-on stewardship project when registering on Eventbrite. Whether you’re helping harvest, glean, tidy pathways, or prepare the garden for winter, your time and care directly support the Ranch's outdoor educational programming.
Pack a Picnic Lunch & Make a Wish
From 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, gather for a peaceful picnic with your Thanksgiving leftovers. Before you head out, visit our Wishing Tree to leave a wish, intention, or moment of gratitude for nature.
Ticketing & Registration
Your family’s volunteer project is your ticket to Green Friday. Each ticket admits one family, and spaces are limited for every project to ensure a meaningful, hands-on experience.
Projects vary in length and intensity, so if you plan to volunteer for a shorter amount of time or arrive after 9:00 AM, please select a project that fits your schedule. All projects are family-friendly and designed for all ages and abilities. A staff member or garden lead will be on hand to guide each project and ensure everyone can participate safely. Once your project is complete, you’re welcome to join us for ongoing garden maintenance and stewardship.
