Parent-Child Classes
Connecting you and your little one to the wonders of nature
2026 Winter/ Spring Classes Now Open!
Our Parent–Child Classes offer families a gentle and joyful way to slow down, connect, and explore together in the living landscape of Connolly Ranch. Set in a beautiful open-air farm environment, these classes invite caregivers and children to learn side-by-side through shared discovery, meaningful work, and unhurried play.
Together, you’ll form relationships with our friendly farm animals, explore seasonal rhythms, and engage in hands-on experiences designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and connection—both with one another and with the natural world. From the softness of sheep’s wool to the earthy scent of the garden and the simple pleasure of fresh air and open space, every visit offers rich sensory experiences for even our youngest explorers.
Whether you’re discovering where food comes from, tending to animals together, or simply savoring time outdoors, our Parent–Child Classes offer a meaningful way to create lasting memories rooted in presence, play, and connection.

Tiny Seeds
(Ages 0 to 2)
Whether feeling the softness of a sheep’s wool, feeding pumpkin to a pig or tasting tomatoes and figs in our edible garden, Tiny Seeds Ages 0 to 2 allows our smallest ranchers to become familiar with the wonders of the natural world.
This class fosters a safe and cozy environment for children who are just getting used to group settings and who may be meeting animals for the first time. By slowing down and modeling how to interact with everything from art to the farm animals, the children soon begin to feel that the ranch is a place created just for them. Circle time, music, song, yoga are all parts of what make this class for our little ones so special. Kiddos range from sleeping infants to active toddlers and this program is built for both! Grandparents and family members are always welcome to join us too!
Little Sprouts
(Ages 2 to 3.5)
At Little Sprouts Ages 2 to 3.5 we engage together in the great outdoors through hands-on exploration. Children are given ample time to exert their energy and to move their active bodies. Whether digging with shovels in the sand pit in our Grove, climbing the hill to visit Grandmother Oak, raking hay in the barn or planting seeds in the greenhouse, this age group stays busy and industrious! Ready to face the Ranch head on, our hour together flies by with art exploration, circle time, visiting animals and engaging in open ended play.
This class is a great introduction to our Playschool program as it builds confidence and a strong connection to the Ranch. We are always amazed to see how time in Little Sprouts fosters the children’s independence so that they are ready for the next stage of their learning. It is with great joy that we often see our former Little Sprouts children leading the way with their teachers in Playschool!
