Playschool Cooperative

Requirements for Co-Op Positions

All Co-Op positions require 8 to 12 hours of work per month. In addition, the Early Childhood Manager and fellow Co-Op families meet monthly to report on projects and receive feedback and guidance for future projects.

  • Fall session commitment - 16 weeks

  • Winter/Spring session commitment - 21 weeks

There are limited Co-Op spaces for each school year.

Our Playschool Cooperative program welcomes parents to work alongside our early childhood educators and staff by contributing to our nonprofit’s operations responsibilities through various on and off-site roles.

Being part of the Connolly Ranch Cooperative allows parents or caregivers to share and grow in their child-raising role in an atmosphere of mutual support. Further, it provides an environment where children learn cooperation from the example of their parents and educators working closely together.

Taking on the responsibility and cooperative position significantly reduces families’ registration costs by 35%. In addition, it reduces the organizational overhead costs and allows parents to contribute and have opportunities to interact and build community with other parents. Families attend orientation and ongoing training sessions to ensure educational and quality alignment.
