Learn, Lead, and Grow—In Nature and in Life.
A hands-on internship where high school students gain real-world experience, build leadership skills, and connect with nature while supporting our community.
High School Internship
CREC’s High School Internship Program for students (ages 14-18) fosters the next generation of environmental stewards and thoughtful nonprofit leaders. Participants in this program gain education and hands-on project-based work examining ecological systems, environmental justice, sustainable gardening, farming, and animal husbandry.
They receive mentorship from experienced professionals and cultivate their own leadership skills by leading farming and environmental activities. Interns work alongside CREC’s farm and facilities team and receive a monthly stipend to instill the value of a job well done and community service. A memorable internship at CREC allows high school students to explore diverse interests and career paths in the nonprofit, environmental, and sustainable agriculture sectors.
